LONDON (Dow Jones)–U.S. President George W. Bush is set to accelerate the departure from Iraq of General George Casey, the top U.S. commander in Baghdad, the International Herald Tribune reports Tuesday, citing senior military analysts.

The IHT reports that Bush is uneasy with Casey’s strategy, and sees a chance to bring in a new commander at the time he announces a new strategy for Iraq.

Casey was set to leave Iraq in the summer.
