NEW YORK (Dow Jones)–U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Thursday said “all options are on the table” concerning possible military action against Iran and Syria.

Rice, interviewed on NBC’s “Today” program, said with President George W. Bush’s plan for Iraq announced Wednesday night, “we are going to make certain we disrupt activities that are endangering and killing our troops and that are destabilizing Iraq.”

When asked if that meant U.S. troops conducting raids inside Iran and Syria, Rice said “the president is not going to take options off the table and I’m not going to speculate.”

Rice made the appearance following Bush’s address Wednesday evening about his new plan for Iraq. Bush, in the address, said U.S. troops will “interrupt the flow of support from Iran and Syria. And we will seek out and destroy the networks providing advanced weaponry and training to our enemies in Iraq.”
