WASHINGTON (AP)–Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will make her first trip to New Hampshire as a presidential candidate on Feb. 10, the same day Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama formally announces his candidacy.

Clinton had been scheduled to visit New Hampshire on Saturday and Sunday but canceled the trip because her husband’s stepfather, Dick Kelley, was ill. Kelley, 91, died Wednesday in Arkansas.

Her decision to schedule the trip for the following weekend sets up a fierce fight for media coverage by two of the leading candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination. While Clinton will be in New Hampshire, Obama will make his announcement in Springfield, Ill., then head to Iowa.
